Some unions whisper instead of shout—and those are often the most powerful.

On a golden, very warm Northern California afternoon, these two said “I do” with just their closest people around.

The ceremony at the Shasta County Courthouse was sweet and simple—no frills, just the kind of love that glows quietly, like candlelight in a still room.

The bride wore a timeless tea-length dress, strapless and understated, with embroidered sparkles that caught the light just right. ✨ It was the perfect mix of relaxed and radiant.

During our planning process, I helped the couple find the perfect location to take their bridal portraits. We chose a nearby Redding park with a gazebo and the Diestelhorst Bridge for their portraits. The classic architecture gave us just enough elegance to balance out the playful, lighthearted energy of the day.

Once vows were exchanged, we celebrated with cake and sparkling cider under the sun. It was hot—but no one cared. Everyone was glowing with joy (and maybe a little sweat). The vibe? Chill, beautiful, and full of meaning.

This is the kind of day I love to photograph—intentional, relaxed, and true to you. If you're planning a courthouse wedding or elopement and want someone to help you make the simple feel stunning, I’d be honored to capture it.
